Thursday, 11/18
We took the quiz today. I allowed you to use the notes that you took during presentations. Afterward, we started talking about valence electrons!
Wednesday, 11/17
We presented our Periodic Group power points today and they were AMAZING! I'm going to post them here soon! We also reviewed for the quiz tomorrow.
Tuesday, 11/16
We moved the quiz to Thursday because our projects took longer than we thought. We kept working on the projects and took notes on periodic trends.
Monday, 11/15
We discussed periodic trends today. After that, we finished up our projects which will count as our test grade for this unit. There will be a quiz on Wednesday.
Friday, 11/12
We finished up talking about the groups of the periodic table today and started a mini-project. We created slides to explain our assigned groups. We wrote them as if we were talking to 6th graders, so they had to be simplified. We'll finish them up on Monday.
Wednesday, 11/10
Our schedule got thrown off yesterday because of the assembly, so TODAY we are going to start our discussion of the periodic table.
Tuesday, 11/9
Time to get into real chemistry! We're going to take a look at the periodic table today.

Test day! Good Luck! Next we're going to dive into Unit 3 which is all about the periodic table.
Friday, 10/29
Benchmark day! We all took benchmarks today. I also gave you all a survey about what you think of my class so far. I also passed out a paper on managing test anxiety. Read and enjoy.
Thursday, 10/28
Today, we cleared up some questions and you all became the teachers! We reviewed for the quiz on light and electron configuration on Monday.
Wednesday, 10/27
Today we talked more about light and electron configurations. We watched a video of a flame test (what I tried to do on Tuesday).
